Kimberly Ann's life has been a whirlwind of activity even before she was the lead in her Kindergarten production of Mary Poppins! Born and reared in Hopewell, Virginia, Kimberly Ann was active in her hometown as an honors student, cheerleader, athlete and later a neighborhood activist and community organizer. She holds a BS in Communication Arts from James Madison University and has work experience in the retail, sales, advertising, personnel and radio and television industries. Baseball fans may remember her as the female mascot, Princess Win-a-lotta, for the Atlanta Braves. She's been a small business owner since 1990 and operated Browsers on Broadway, Bargain Bazaar, Desire and Awesome Auctions by Desire in her native Hopewell before moving to her beloved Petersburg to open Kimberly Ann's.
Kimberly Ann is the mother of Sam Pinkleton, a graduate of NYU's drama program currently working as an actor, director, producer, and choreographer in New York City. Sam's worked with award-winning companies such as The Public Theater, Ars Nova, Les Freres Corbusier, and Mitu, and is a company member of New York-based dance theater company Witness Relocation. Sam recently played the role of Hero in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" at the Goodspeed Opera House.
He just completed a run in the Westport Country Playhouse's production of She Loves Me, directed by Mark Lamos and Choreographed by Jonathan Butterell.

Kimberly Ann's latest project, "Old Towne Exposed" was another collaboration with photographer Mel Talley. Their efforts resulted in one of Friday for the Arts! biggest evenings. OTE is a short "film" that features 40 photographs of 46 Old Towners who appear to be nude or semi nude.
